The Event Center Manager is responsible for managing the operations of the event center. This role involves coordinating events, maintaining the facility, managing budgets, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
The manager will work closely with clients,
vendors, and internal teams to plan and execute a wide range of events, including conferences, weddings, trade shows e.t.c.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Liaise with clients to understand their event
requirements and ensure all details are
accurately captured.
Manages, receives and coordinates all
bookings and rentals for the Event Center and monitors results.
Coordinate with caterers, event decorators
and other vendors to ensure timely delivery
of services.
Ensure the event center is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and
functionality.
Liaison with Operation manager in scheduling of staff to ensure adequate coverage for events and daily operations.
Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
Develop and manage the event center’s
budget.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and clients to ensure favorable terms and cost-
effectiveness.
Ensure a positive client experience from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Gather feedback from clients to continuously improve the quality of services offered.
promote the event center and attract new
clients through various marketing channels
such as social media e.t.c.
Develop packages and pricing strategies to
maximize bookings and profit.
Build and maintain relationships with key
clients.
Ensure all events comply with local
regulations, health and safety standards, and fire codes.
Develop and implement safety procedures for the facility and during events.
Handle emergency situations and incidents
efficiently, ensuring the safety of all
attendees.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the
management.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree Business
Administration,Hospitality management or a related field.
3 years experience in event management,
hospitality, or a similar role.
Strong organizational and multitasking
skills,time management skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent sales and marketing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.
Ability to manage budgets and negotiate
contracts.
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite(excel, word).
SALARY: 135,000 NGN
